An Artist-in-Residence opportunity with the Ciorcal project @ Áislann Rann na Feirste, funded by SSE Airtricity. Budget commensurate with VAI rates. Proposals should foreground the use of recycled materials and if possible the Irish language / An Cló Gaelach and could involve the following outcomes:

• Forbairt Táirgí 'Ciorcal' ina ndearann ​​an t-ealaíontóir táirge indíolta (i.e; cárta beannachta, cuimhneachán) a úsáideann míreanna 'bruscar' sonracha (m.sh. gearrthóga irisí le haghaidh colláise, buidéil dheochanna plaisteacha, stocaí corr, cnaipí). D'fhéadfadh na 'Táirgí Ciorcal' seo a bheith:

• (a) Saothair ealaíne ceadúnaithe inoiriúnaithe (féach ar an cárta beannachta cnaipe/balún thíos ar ealain.ciorcal.org mar shampla)

• nó (b) teacht i bhfoirm 'intreorach' a fhoilsítear ar líne ag baint úsáide as comhaid PDF nó físeáin ar féidir le daltaí scoile nó le baill den phobal a leanúint chun an mhír a atáirgeadh.

• Saothair Ealaíne 'Ciorcal' e.g. Dealbha/Réada Ealaíne a fhreagraíonn do shuíomh fisiceach Áislann Rann na Feirste agus a úsáideann ábhair atá á seoladh chuig líonadh talún ó Chontae Dhún na nGall faoi láthair.
• Tionscadail atá rannpháirteach go sóisialta** a bhaineann le ceardlanna rannpháirteacha agus/nó táirgeadh réada ealaíne nó imeachtaí/eispéiris ealaíne. (Ba chóir do thionscadail atá rannpháirteach go sóisialta a spriocghrúpa agus a straitéis chun dul i ngleic leo a shonrú.)

Proposals should foreground the use of recycled materials and if possible the Irish language / An Cló Gaelach and could involve the following outcomes:

• 'Ciorcal' Product Development' whereby the artist designs a marketable product (eg. Greeting card, souvenir) that uses specific 'rubbish' items (e.g. magazine clippings for collage, plastic drink bottles, odd socks, buttons). These 'Ciorcal Products' could be:
• (a) customisable licensed artworks (see for example the button/balloon greeting card below on ealain.ciorcal.org)
• or (b) come in the form of an 'instructable' that is published online using PDF files or videos that can be followed by schools pupils or members of the public to reproduce the item.

• 'Ciorcal' Art Works e.g. Sculptures/ Art Objects that respond to the physical site of Áislann Rann na Feirste and use materials currently be sent to landfill from Co. Donegal.

• Socially-engaged projects** that involve participative workshops and/or the production of art objects or art events/experiences. (Socially engaged projects should specify their target audience and their strategy for engaging with them.)
